Employee Benefits Awards 2006
The awards ceremony was held on May 18th at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, hosted by the comedian Jimmy Carr. Capita Share Plan Services had four clients shortlisted spread over three categories; easyJet, Northern Rock, Coca-Cola Enterprises and The Capita Group Plc.
easyJet won the award for the ‘Most Effective All-Employee Share Scheme Strategy’. The judges awarded the top spot to easyJet for delivering a “focused and innovative scheme” and further describing it as “an entrepreneurial entry tailored to suit the workforce”.
Northern Rock, winners of the above award last year were ‘Highly Commended’ in this category. The judges were impressed by the outstanding take-up rate and the stunning communications strategy. They described this as “a very slick, well presented entry that had gathered momentum after winning last year”.
easyJet were also ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Most Successful New Benefits Launch’ category. The judges commented on the array of methods used to communicate both the Share Incentive Plan and the Sharesave scheme.
